The campaign included a themed in-game event with login rewards, progression systems, mini-games like “Wake Up, Poro!”, and custom visual experiences that brought Ramadan traditions to life, including festive lanterns, drumming poros, and heartfelt community moments. A highlight was our key visual, showing a poro-hosted iftar featuring over 30 traditional dishes from across the world, each representing a different culture. The goal was inclusivity without centralizing any single region, celebrating the richness of our global player base. This was more than a seasonal drop. As Riot’s creative lead on the project, I oversaw the vision and execution, from concept to final cut—working closely with our Publishing and Esports teams. More than just a league announcement, this film introduced the identity, spirit, and stakes of LCP to the world. It honors the legacy of LoL Esports in the region and boldly declares what’s next. Together, we crafted a multi-tactic rollout that celebrated the arrival of Pengu across Asia with energy, cultural flair, and plenty of local love. Highlights included a vibrant key visual featuring Pengu visiting iconic APAC landmarks, a single-shot marquee video of Pengu dancing and partying with players across the region, and the wildly fun Hyper Roll Karaoke Challenge—a karaoke van featuring influencers singing their hearts out. We also hosted a fiery dev interview where the team tackled the spiciest dishes from across APAC. From collectible swag to community activations, this campaign was a celebration of TFT’s mobile debut and the diverse players that make up the APAC region.
